Microneedling
-
-
What is it?
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a cosmetic procedure that involves the use of fine, sterile needles to create tiny, controlled punctures in the skin's surface. This controlled damage stimulates the body's natural wound healing process, which, in turn, triggers the production of collagen and elastin—two crucial proteins responsible for maintaining the skin's structure and elasticity.
For optimal results, its recommended to do 2-4 sessions one month apart.

How to take care of your skin after microneedling
Avoid Skincare Products that have active ingredients
For at least 72 hours after treatment, avoid using any skincare products containing active ingredients such as Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acids, or Retinol (Vitamin A), as these can irritate your skin even more.
Stay out of the sun
You should avoid sun exposure for at least three days after the microneedling procedure. Also, do not apply any chemical sunscreen right after the treatment.
Avoid any makeup application
Wear no makeup for 24 to 72 hours after your microneedling treatment to allow your skin to breathe and recover.
Use a gentle cleanser to wash your face
During the first three days, do not wash your skin at all. Following that, wash your face with a gently cleanser and lukewarm water.
