Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is a common medical procedure used to treat varicose veins and spider veins. It is a minimally invasive treatment that involves injecting a solution directly into the affected veins, causing them to collapse and eventually fade away.

What is it?
Sclerotherapy is a medical procedure used to treat varicose veins and spider veins. It involves the injection of a special solution into the affected veins using a fine needle. The solution causes irritation and inflammation in the vein's inner lining, leading to the vein's closure and eventual absorption by the body. As a result, the treated veins gradually fade from view over time. This technique is only performed by our vascular surgeons.

How long after sclerotherapy do veins disappear?
Veins that have been treated with sclerotherapy typically diminish within a few weeks after the procedure; however, this does not guarantee that they will be eliminated entirely. Full outcomes may not be seen for at least a month after treatment has begun.

How many Sclerotherapy treatment sessions are required?
The number of sclerotherapy injection treatments that are necessary is determined not only by the condition of the patient but also by the degree of the vein disease that is being treated. The number of treatments that an individual needs can be affected by factors such as the size, amount, and location of blood vessels, as well as the individual’s response to the treatment.
